What the heck am i going to write about after the olympics are over?
Anyway, i was just 'peruzing', (hrm, lets check that spelling in word, cause me thinks its horribly off the mark ,,, checking ,,, well all be, i was pretty darn close, its really spelt 'perusing') through the medal standings, Germany is in first place with a whooping 32 medals (the first to break 30 medals in the winter games if i'm not mistaken), and to put things into perspective, this is more then twice the number of medals of the current 4th place country (Austria with 15), and Nearly 3 times as many as Canada (who currently sits in 6th).
The big 3 for the winter games are unsurprising, Germany, the US, and Norway. What is surprising is the medal differnce that seperates them from other Countries. Sure, its great for them, their winning, but whats the point of all these smaller countries coming out to the games if they can't even get a bloody medal! I think that this may become a major issue in coming years, as these small countries spend their small fortunes on training athletes who ultimately don't win a darn thing. Women's Hockey is a perfect example of this; whats the sense in a country starting a team if they won't stand a chance against Canada or the US.
Welp, that was my bit of insightful thinking for the night. I think a forum would be neat on this page, so that if anybody does read this, and happens to disagree with what i'm saying, or wants to support what i say, they can comment.
My writing seems pretty unclear tonight, sorry for any foginess. Taking all three high schools maths this semester may be killing my creativity, Though if i keep writing in here i'll hopefully be able to maintain some (once again, sorry for the foggy babbling and such).
I'm off to study finite, peace out, Fake Pleather Chairs for All!
