I won't comment on current headline news, thats much too cliche. After all, it's only news the first time you hear it, then it becomes olds.
Good olds with the potential to develop into new news is a rating raiser though. Repeat the same details and video in such a way that it seems new news is on the way. Maybe re-arrange your sentences for a bit for flare.
Contrary to popular belief, blogs don't spread news (or olds for that matter), but the opinion of the person based on their view of the story. No matter what color I decide to change the font to on this page, the content at its core remains the same.
A more accurate idea of a story can be gathered from reading as many opinions as possible. To draw a scientific parrallel, when you combine red, green, and blue light, you get white light.
To sum things up, don't believe a thing I say.
