Icq Takes the Plunge
Thats if you can find the button to make it do So....

Alright, I'm sure that the good folks over at icq had the best intentions in mind when they released ICQ 2002A, but when they decided to remove the minimize button from the title bar, the program became the spawn of Satan. I've had it installed for about half an hour now, and I've gone to click the minimize button about 20 times already(once every minute and a half).

No minimize button! That's Gayer than Jordy Birch!

Sure the X puts it into the system bar (down beside your clock), but I'm used to that Closing the entire program! Don't feed me Cheerio's when I'm hooked on Froot Loops! Another beef, when the ICQ window is open, theres a button on the task bar! GAH, this wastes valuble task bar space for those of us not using Windows XP (Satan's other Spawn).

It's almost as if ICQ is trying to become more like MSN Messenger, perhaps a sign that the guys over at ICQ are running out of their own ideas. Oh well, I seem to be using Messenger a lot more then ICQ lately anyways (and I used to swear by icq, appalled by MSN, AOL, and other Knock-offs).

Feel the Same way as me? Tell me in the Forum, I'm curious to see what other people think.

Peace Out.

Think For Yourself
Microsoft Paid $500-Million To Propagandize the X-Box in the US

Gone are the days of thinking for oneself, now-a-days large companies with billions of dollars do it for us! How convienant. Take Microsoft for example. Before launching its new Black PC with control ports (AKA, the X-Box) Microsoft pumped and unimaginable 500 million dollars into advertising the thing (500-million US dollars). It is also proper to note that this was just the sum for advertising in the United States, other equally large sums were probably used in other countries (Most of all Japan I would think, those Japanese really hate the big M [More power to them]). What does this mean to the somewhat intelligent people of 18 years or older, probably nothing, most of us can tell when we're being fed BS, but for the WWF watching, Jolt Cola Drinking, and Suped Up Car Driving folk, the X-box is the Sh1t.

What a powerful example of propaganda the black box is. To think, when microsoft unveiled the thing it was pardoned as a nerd's b1tch, go near it and be infested with cooties. $500-million makes a big difference. The zombified following of the box is a scary testiment to today's society.

For those of you out there wise enough to tell when liquid rocks are being thrown at you, Congratulations, you'll be fine. For those of you that are cursing me for making fun of the WWF, Jolt Cola, and Suped Up Cars, perhaps you should get your priorities in check (priorities are things that matter the most to you), and enroll yourself into a media or marketing class, you'll be amazed.

Peace Out.

Procrastinating for the Sake of It

It's 1:30 in the morning. I have to be at work for 10:30 tommorow. I have to sleep, but i don't want to. I'm procrastinating for the sake of procrastinating. I'm too tired to stop slouching in my chair (and how slouched I am, almost falling off the bloody thing), pull myself up, and then fall down into bed. oh wait, my slouch is slipping, i'll have to pull myself up. Sitting properly is much more comfortable then slouching, at least at 1:30 in the morning.

Played a round of War 3 tonight, twas a 4v4, and of course, 2 of the guys that were on my team got lagged out (their modem connections ceased to connect, and they were no longer able to play), leaving myself and remaining partner to do battle against 4 others, the odds were not in favour. Normally in this situation I'd be zonked within 5 minutes, however, against these particular opponents the game lasted about an hour and a half. We lost in the end, but we gave them a good schooling along the way.

I think that about dries up my think tank for tonight, er, this morning (your choice, now theres Interactivity!).

As Always,
Peace Out.
