Attention: This is not a Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Page
I must admit, i'm a bit confused myself. Over the last year the amount of advertising that tripod has put onto its user's pages has tripled, and become increasingly annoying.
Gone are the days of the single banner and button at the top of your page. Now you've got giant flash banners at the top that talk to you, more banners at the bottom. They used to only load on the main page, any thing in frames was ignored, but no, now even frames get their own banners. This page use's an iframe to display the blog and other pages, so it gets two banners, and the main page gets two, so thats four banners, and they screw up my style sheets. Oh yes, and for the love of god, a search bar opens to tripods very own search engine to the left of the browser.
Well my friends, this simply will not do. I'm looking at getting a linux box to run my own server and host this page on that, ad free.
So if anybody can tell me why it is that my site comes up along side a bunch of Mary Kate and Ashley sites in the tripod search bs on the left, I think i'll be all set.
