I should have gone to work tonight.
Shock's a funny thing, surreal. I'm in shock right now, it doesn't matter if you see things coming, you get shocked just the same. Its the reality of things, until you know for sure, theres always a chance that what you think is wrong, and shock is the result of that being suddenly taken away from you. It leaves this hole in your stomach, your arms go numb, the quietest of sounds around you are amplified, while the loudest fade to nothing.
I've said many a time before in my blog 'where then from here', and tonight, for the first time, I really don't know
